Pitara.com bags Britannica award

 www.pitara.com, a site for children, has bagged the Britannica Internet Guide Award (BIG) for Excellence on the web.
BIG a web navigation service is designed to steer users past the other sites on the Internet straight to the most valuable sources. The nominees for the award were evaluated on our aspects, which include overall presentation, content, design and technology.
The other nominees were www.sify.com, www.keralatourism.com, www.kamat.com and www.artindia.com.
The BIG nominates sited, and then a jury, which included personalities like singer Shubha Mudgal, netpreneur Pradeep Kar, eminent economist Bibek Debroy and creative director of Britannica.com Inc. Melissa Moore, picked the winning site.
