Morning

Morning
Wraps me softly

In a blanket of grey
Touches my eyelids

With pale, cool fingers
Sings in my ears

A twittering sparrow
Tugs at my arms

Lifts me gently
From my bed

Saying
Another day is here.

Round and Round

The whirling fan
Touching my cheek

With its butterfly breath
A constant breeze

Blowing summer away
Ruffling my hair

Cooling my neck
Oops!

Making my papers fly!
