The Davis Cup is organised by the International Tennis Federation (ITF). Teams of players from competing countries play a knock-out format. The world’s 16 best national teams make it to the World Group and compete for the Davis Cup once a year. Countries whose teams are not in the World Group compete in one of three regional zones – Americas, Asia/Oceania, and Europe/Africa.
